So, here we have it. The story of the Lightning Seeds condensed on one hour long, 16 song album. The reason why the Best of album was released was due to demand. People had known the songs, but could not put the song to the artist. And because some of the early releases were not that successful, people could get a taster from this album and perhaps begin to buy the back catalogue, which is quite an easy task now, because they are all (except Pure Lightning Seeds and Like You Do) available on mid-price.

Like You Do... Best of the Lightning Seeds covers the career of Ian Broudie and his fellow Seeds since 1989 and covers all three labels. It features every single released except for Joy, which is a pity, but it also has three new tracks. What You Say, which was the new single released from this album (only got to 41 in the charts), plus Brain Drain and a new recording of Waiting For Today To Happen.

Like You Do... according to Ian closes a chapter in the Lightning Seeds career. From there he would like to move on and experiment with different things and just see where that leads. The four albums before and this Best of makes a nice set together.
